Wall Oribe is crafted by one of Mittsu Japanese Master Ceramicists.
"Oribe" is an avant-garde of the Momoyama era. (The late 1600's). "Oribe is classified as Minoyaki, which is one of the most famous ceramic brands in Japan and the name comes from Japanese famous ceramic artist "Oribe Furuta"(1543-1615). It is produced in the heart of Toki city, Gifu, Japan and one of the most remarkable features of this product is its rich deep green glaze.
This tile is visually imposing compared to all other Japanese Ceramic Tiles, with options of 900x150x16mm and 900x200x16mm.
Prices are for just under 1m2 with the 150mm option being supplied in cartons of 7 and the 200mm option in cartons of 5.
As you can see from the images, the colour varies and an interesting and natural way, with no two tiles being the same, adding beautiful Wabi Sabi.
Every tile is made to order, with a 12 week production lead time, before we consider shipping time; please allow a long lead time for these! They are worth waiting for though!!
